Drains fail slowly and then suddenly. A hairline crack lets in roots, a joint settles a few millimetres, and a line that worked for decades starts blocking every winter. The fix does not have to mean digging a trench through your garden or drive.

Within a few minutes of Telford’s centre you reach villages and farmsteads that mains sewerage never reached. The north of the borough in particular, out across the Weald Moors towards Kynnersley and Ercall Magna, is dependent on private systems, and the gorge-side properties around Ironbridge and Coalport include older houses with equally old drainage arrangements.

Where the pipe is structurally sound enough, we repair drains from the inside by relining: a resin-impregnated liner is inserted into the pipe and cured in place, creating a new, jointless pipe within the old one. Localised damage can often be fixed with a patch liner over just the defective section. No-dig repairs mean no ruined lawns, no broken driveways, and usually a single day of work.

Buying or selling around Telford

Telford’s rural villages mix farm cottages and barn conversions with modern executive homes, and the gorge conservation areas add listed-building considerations to any excavation. Pre-purchase drain surveys are routine here, and off-mains compliance checks increasingly so.

Access and practicalities around Telford

Access varies enormously, from good roads on the urban fringe to narrow moor lanes in the north and steep, tight streets dropping into the gorge. We match the vehicle to the job, and long hose runs deal with tanks that sit well away from hard standing.

What the service includes

  • Cured-in-place relining of damaged foul and surface water drains
  • Localised patch repairs over single defects
  • Root removal followed by lining to keep them out permanently
  • Targeted excavation and replacement where relining is not viable
  • Post-repair CCTV so you can see the finished result
  • Repairs to private sewers, septic pipework and drainage field feeds

Drain Repairs & Relining: common questions

How long does relining last?

A properly installed cured-in-place liner is a structural repair with a design life of decades, comparable to new pipework.

Will you need to dig up my drive?

Usually not. Liners are installed through existing access points such as manholes and rodding eyes. Excavation is reserved for collapsed or badly deformed sections that a liner cannot fix.

How disruptive is the work?

Most domestic relining jobs are completed in a day, and you can normally use your drains again the same evening once the liner has cured.
